Government Projects in Rio del Mar and Aptos

Rio del Mar is an unincorporated community that is part of Santa Cruz County. Fifty-one percent of Santa Cruz County is unincorporated. Rio del Mar relies on Santa Cruz County for all public works infrastructure and representation. The unincorporated area of Santa Cruz County is governed by a Board of Supervisors. There are five Supervisorial Districts, governed by elected Supervisors. Rio del Mar is part of District 2, Ellen Pirie's district.

You can also meet with Ellen in person most weeks on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Aptos Sheriff's Substation at the Rancho Del Mar Shopping Center, Aptos (near the Safeway supermarket). Please call Ellen's office at 454-2200 before you come to confirm that a meeting will be held on the Wednesday when you want to attend. You can also call Ellen to arrange an appointment.
