Neighborhood Safety for Rio del Mar
Any immediate threat CALL 9-1-1 IMMEDIATELY!
If things aren't right, you feel suspicious of persons or autos in your neighborhood, write down the license plate and call the Sheriff non emergency number (831) 471-1121.
If you want to discuss suspicions, neighborhood safety, organize your neighborhood, you may also visit the Aptos Sheriff Center by Safeway in the Rancho Del Mar Center at (831)662-0690. It is staffed weekdays. Or email sheriff@scsheriff.com. These emails are picked up Monday through Friday.
CERT Community Emergency Response Training is available from the Aptos/La Selva Fire Station. To join a current CERT team in your neighborhood, contact Capt. Mike Conrad at 831-685-6690, or email mikec@aptosfire.com.
