Graffiti Abatement

Sheriff recommends reporting graffiti; take photo of graffiti (with time & date) call the Sheriff, then paint over. (This is what Marilyn does in our area--anyone wanting to work with her please contact her at graffiti@rdmia.org.

Cumulative Graffiti arrests can turn into felony.
Recommended by Aptos Chamber committee to put Graffiti information into Press Release for public knowledge.

What to Do If You See Graffiti Vandalism in Process:

DO NOT approach or attempt to apprehend the vandal.
Get a good description of the vandal(s) and their vehicle(s). Take a photo with your phone/camera from a distance.
