About the Rio del Mar Improvement Association
The Rio del Mar Improvement Association is the second oldest organization of its kind in the State of California. The organization was conceived August 16, 1941 and articles of incorporation were filed with the Secretary of State on October 23, 1941.
For over 60 years, the RDMIA has been a non-partisan voice in local government, public works, law enforcement, education, water supply and sanitation, parks and recreation, coastal management, planning and zoning, graffiti abatement, arbor disease management, and landscaping.
The Association is managed by nine Directors who are elected by members of the Association to serve a two-year term. Members can be called to serve on special committees when needed. The Directors and Committee Chairs are all volunteers committed to preserving and enhancing our way of life in Rio del Mar.
